Teams Descriptif:

ABU DHABI STROLLERS FC (UAE)

Country: UAE
City: Abu Dhabi
Team Color: White and Red
Captain: Roland Blaney Players: Mixed nationalities

Strollers were formed, and within a couple of years were accepted into the Dubai & Sharjah League, where they performed well, as the representatives from Abu Dhabi, securing the League title for the first time in 1990. The Strollers presently proudly wear the logo of their sponsors, Etihad Crystal Cargo, in their games, and this shirt even made an appearance at the last FIFA World Cup Finals in Berlin over three years ago. A word of thanks to our other main sponsor, Budweiser, who have supplied the growing community of expat footballers in Abu Dhabi with kit, leagues and some decent trips as prizes in our tournaments.

AIOLI UNITED FC (Singapore)

Country: Singapore
City: Singapore
Team Color: Black/Red striped Jersey
Captain: Bernard Goaoc Players: Fench, Italian, Spanish.

AIOLI UNITED, name of the team comes from the defunct but previously acclaimed Provence Restaurant in Singapore : AIOLI. To compensate the impact of long years of Wine and Cheese abuse and maybe not to have guilty conscience, we decided to form AIOLI UNITED to join ESPZEN, the Singaporean amateur football league. Most of us are French working in Singapore, but some good friends decided to choose AIOLI to express their football skill. Is it not a revolution in the Football history : Italian and French playing the same football ;-) Key Dates : August 2005 : first game for AIOLI in ESPZEN Division 6, January 2007 : AIOLI is promoted in ESPZEN Division 3, Mai 2008 : New kit for AIOLI : Red and Black stiped jersey. Is it to honor our Italian Friend ? ;-), July 2008 : AIOLI in ESPZEN Division 1

BRITISH EXILES (Singapore)

Country: Singapore
City: Singapore
Team Color: White
Captain/Manager: Chris / Sharam
Players: British, Irish, Indian, American, German, Australian

The team joined the Espzen Sunday league 6 in Jan 2007 as the British Club. For the 2008 season we changed the name of the team to British Exiles. For 2009 the squad is a good mix of British and many other nationalities. The age range is 17-59. A big thanks to our sponsors: Global Coal, Hermes Investment, Sumeria Search and Inspectorate for their support.

GERMAN ALL STARS (Singapore)

Country: Singapore
City: Singapore
Team Color: Grey and Black
Captain: Martin Bock
Players: German with International

The German Allstars Singapore is a team with more than 30 years history of competitive football in Singapore. Founded in the early 70’s the team has evolved from the long hair/sideburns 70’s style to a good looking ensemble of young, hungry football loving rookies and veterans. The vision of the team is “to offer a home far away from home”. The key is to play competitive football in the Singapore Cosmo League and Midweek League. Around 50 players actively participate in the league matches of the two teams on a regular basis. Aside from the football pitch we are having a lot of fun with regular social activities. To learn more about the incredible past and the astonishing present of the German Allstars Singapore either switch on the history channel or browse through our web site under

HOTSPURS FC (Singapore)

Country: Singapore
City: Singapore
Team Color: White and Green
Captain: Alastair
Players: International

Although we may struggle to find the pitch for an early kick off, I doubt that we will have as much trouble finding Soi Banghla early evening, as we have been known to take the social activities a little more seriously than that running around in circles stupidity of the daytime. Comprising of a mixed bunch from Hibs 3 Singaporean based teams with the odd addition from our mates at Orchard, we are aiming high this year and hoping to score a goal on either Saturday or Sunday, and all being well, are looking forward to the Bowl Semi Final. Now in its 13th year, the largest stand alone amateur football club in Singapore has over 80 playing members ranging from the odd son of older members, all the way up to Granddad Paffet and are regular tourists around these parts, including previous GAS and Reperages Thai Soccer 7's events in Bangkok, and regular trips to Manila Nomads 6's (where the slightly seedier, older, fatter members of the club will be entertaining themselves in Makati this weekend). Although we have no clue on our final "squad", its bound to be filled with various dubious characters from Muddy's and its nearby establishments. 2008 Andaman 7’s, Bowl runners-up, Open.

KAOHSIUNG 100 PACERS FC (Korea)

Country: Korea
City: Kaohsiung
Team Color: Black/Blue or Black/White
Captain: Irish DarePlayers: International

The 100 Pacers are no strangers to football in Thailand. However, this year sees a lot of new Pacers making their first overseas trip with the team. A bit of youth with a few veterans mixed with our fearsome reputation should allow us to compete. We look forward to the competition and a chance to meet some new people and maybe, just maybe, take some kind of silverware home with us. See you on the pitch!

OLYMPIQUE GAULOIS DE SINGAPORE (Singapore)

Country: Singapore
City: Singapore
Team Color: White
Captain: Philippe Vo Players: French

The 'Olympique Gaulois de Singapour' plays into the Cosmoleague for around 20 years already. Mainy composed of French nationals, it is opened to any player that shares our values: great food, fantastic wines and exceptional know-how with women. This is why it's mainly French. Last year, in 2007, we participated to the Phuket 7 for the first time. Perhaps we insisted a bit too much on our 'values' before the games, so our performance was somewhat disappointing. But we definitely loved the place and we are back this year! Same values though...

The team is made up of players from the south Perth area.
The majority of the players compete in the Western Australian state league.
This will be our third year competing in the Phuket 7s.

RANGER FC (Singapore) flag

Country: Singapore
City: Singapore
Team Color: Yellow & Black
Captain: Steve and Todd
Players: England, Scotland, Netherlands, Spain, Japan Australia, South Africa, Nigeria, Canada, Canary Islands, France, Germany, and Tampines

Singapore Rangers FC have been proud members of Singapore's Cosmo League since 1997, where we are one of a minority of "mixed nationality" teams. Our players have travelled
to Singapore from far and wide, with current representation from England, Scotland, Netherlands, Spain, Australia, Japan, South Africa, Nigeria, Canada, Canary Islands, France, Germany, and Tampines. Needless to say, we are a bit of a united nations team but we all love football and we all enjoy the sun, surf and lady boys :-)

ROBIN HOOD FC (Thailand) flag

Country: Thailand
City: Bangkok
Team Color: Red and Black stripes, Away: White
Captain: Richard Cogley
Players: A mix of Thais and English expats

Bangkok-based Robin Hood FC (Bully's in 2008) are returning to the Andaman 7s aiming to go one better than last year and actually make the first game! Failing that, a similar run to lift the Bowl could well be on the cards again, as despite a new sponsor and some new players, the tried and tested pre-match rituals will no doubt be on display along Bangla Road for the majority of the weekend. However, a freakish winning streak in the build up to the tournament has raised expectations of success and left some among the squad convinced that this could be our year...

STIFF CHILI SINGAPORE WANDERERS FC (Singapore)

Country: Singapore
City: Singapore
Team Color: All white with a red slach
Captain: Dominic
Players: British

"Stiff Chilli Singapore Wanderers are a collection of players from across Singapore's Breitling Cosmo League. Selection criteria is down to ability rather than nationality or team colours. A 'seasoned' three pronged strikeforce containing Dom Mooney, Andrew Hutcheon and baby-faced assassin Henry Turner should ensure goals are scored at the business end. Meanwhile at the other end the effervescent Scott Starr, housewives' favourite Malcolm Abell, Jason-Bourne-body-double Owen Monaghan alongside the shy and retiring Greg Ryan and Scott Anderson should equal plenty of clean sheets. Gallic and Welsh flair in the forms of David Alonso, Mehdi Souaide and Jamie Butler complete the Wanderer's playing options. The Team's Manager, Dom Lane, will be going in to the tournament with high hopes for more silverware.

VAXIM DIVAR (UAE)

Country: UAE
City: Dubai
Team Color: Yellow & Blue
Captain: Russell
Players: Indians

The team hails from a lovely village in the most beautiful cities in India – Goa. All the players though from Goa earn their livelihood in the Gulf. This will be Vaxim Divar’s first trip ou side the region and are really looking forward to it immensely. All the lads are looking forward the three day break of fun,
football and frolic.
