Teams Descriptif
All teams are invited to provide a team picture, logo and colour, players nationality,
with a short resume that will be presented in the Tournament Programme and Website.

1TM FC VETS (Singapore)

Country: Singapore
City: Singapore
Team Color: Red and white stripes
Captain: Stephen Robinon / Antony Szafranek
Players: English Scottish, Irish, American, Vietnamese, Nigerian and Scouse

Team was formed in May 2004 primarily from a combination of Brewerkz FC and Barbarians FC players. The club has now integrated with Latini FC and hence has more continental European 'technical' footballers.... Allez! 1TM is part of a family with roots go back to at least 1995 when the team was known as Paribas FC because of its association with the French bank of that name. With the new millennium came a fresh start and at the beginning of the 2000 season, the Club changed its name to Barbarians. The Barbarians are a truly international side, with players hailing from all over Europe, North America and Asia. Honours: 2004 Midweek League Runners Up - Season 1 2009 Midweek League Runners Up - Season 8 2010 Midweek League Runners Up - Season 9 2010 Midweek League Winners - Season 10

AIOLI UNITED FC (Singapore)

Country: Singapore
City: Singapore
Team Color: Black/Red striped Jersey
Captain: Bernard Goaoc Players: Fench, Italian, Spanish.

AIOLI UNITED, name of the team comes from the defunct but previously acclaimed Provence Restaurant in Singapore : AIOLI. To compensate the impact of long years of Wine and Cheese abuse and maybe not to have guilty conscience, we decided to form AIOLI UNITED to join ESPZEN, the Singaporean amateur football league. Most of us are French working in Singapore, but some good friends decided to choose AIOLI to express their football skill. Is it not a revolution in the Football history : Italian and French playing the same football ;-) Key Dates : August 2005 : first game for AIOLI in ESPZEN Division 6, January 2007 : AIOLI is promoted in ESPZEN Division 3, Mai 2008 : New kit for AIOLI : Red and Black stiped jersey. Is it to honor our Italian Friend ? ;-), July 2008 : AIOLI in ESPZEN Division 1

BOCA SENIORS (Hong Kong)
Logo BOCA SENIORS (Hong Kong)

Country: Hong Kong
City: Wanchai
Team Color: Blue & Yellow
Captain: Tunners
Players: Mainly English

Boca Seniors have been playing in Hong Kong’s Yau Yee League (YYL) since 1997. Frequent arrivals and departures being the nature of an expatriate’s life has meant that Boca’s forays into the top flight have been all too fleeting, with only two seasons in the YYL 1st Division, but we have won the YYL 2nd Division title twice, in the 1997/98 and 2001/02 seasons. We have been coming to Thai 7’s tournaments in Bangkok and Phuket since 2005, having mixed success over the years depending on how enthusiastically we have approached our usual ‘refuelling’ techniques the previous evenings. We have won the Open Bowl at Bangkok 7’s in 2005, runner’s up in the Open Bowl at Phuket in 2006, won the Masters Plate at Phuket in 2008 and runner’s up in the Open Plate at Phuket in 2009. Boca strongly believe in the philosophy of match days consisting of three ‘halves’ and you can guarantee that whether we win, lose or draw during the first two of these ‘halves’, Boca will be sure to outshine the opposition during the third half. Thank you for inviting Boca Seniors to come back again this year and we are looking forward to playing in our first Andaman 7’s tournament this year. We look forward to meeting again all the other teams this weekend and remember, it’s all about your performance in that crucial third half… SEE YOU IN BANGLA !!

FRENCH KISS / BTDT (Hong Kong)

Country: Hong Kong
City: Happy Valley
Team Color: Yellow Red
Captain: Steven
Players: Mix, you name it, we have it.

BTDT is a new team of experienced footballers, who still have it, but maybe more based on experience and stamina, than on speed and power. BTDT, Been There Done That has always been there, but materialized only this year. With growing numbers of players, mostly former French Kiss players, friends and the occasional bar meet of yesterday, we started playing some friendlies, just for the fun of playing football.

CINEMAONLINE (Malaysia)

Country: Malaysia
City: Kuala Lumpur
Team Color: White / Black
Captain: Davies St John Players: Malaysian

We owe our team name to our shirt sponsors. Other than that we're just motley bunch of friends who for the past 5 odd years have come together every Tuesday for a game of futsal. What are we doing in playing 7-a-side in Phuket? Your guess is as good as ours.

HANOI DRINK TEAM (Vietnam)

Country: Vietnam
City: Hanoi
Team Color: Light blue and white
Captain: Stephane
Players: French, English, Italien, USA

This year the Hanoi Drink team has decided, for the first time ever, to be part of the 2 back to back tournaments organized in Phuket… which means 2 extra days of football and many extra nights of entertainment! Some of our old glories will leave the squad with tears in their eyes after the Andaman 7s (masters category) and some of our young guns will join the group with smiles on their faces for the Phuket 7s (open category). They will probably bring us some more skills and energy on the pitch but will certainly show less composure and experience at the bar!

HIBERNIANS SINGAPORE (Singapore)

Country: Singapore
City: Singapore
Team Color: Green / White
Captain: Tunners
Players: International

Hibernians FC of Singapore was established with the aim of providing a recreational outlet for Expats in the form of regular soccer games and a social environment for teammates and fellow soccer enthusiasts. Shortly after forming in 1996 the founding members adopted their present-day name, though the origins of this decision is still very much in dispute. One version has it that the group compromised on a designation that would best represent those Scots and Irish on the team who predominated (thus associating themselves with an Edinburgh-based club that is represented by the Latin word for "Irish"). The more widely accepted version, however, has it that Big Eddie Harkin of Donegal insisted that the side be called as such, a decree with which no one was going to argue. The year 2000 was also significant in that Hibernians FC applied for "Society" status from the Singaporean government, paving the way for the sponsorship they presently enjoy from Muddy Murphy's Irish Pub. Since its inception Hibernians FC, or "Hibs," has progressed from one team to a club of now over 100 members with 8 competitive teams in various forms and competitions.

NORTHERN LIONS (Australia)

Country: Australia
City: Darwin
Team Color: White / Black
Captain: Rob Watt
Players: Scots, English, Australian and a Kiwi..

Established in 1996 to combat the epidemic of clean living, teatotaliterian football teams existing in Northern Australia during the nineties. The Lions, a group of ex pat brits were quick to earn a reputation as socially capable of competing in the premier division. Wining best social team five years running. Our first tour as a playing side was to Tindal, home of the F14 and our nations top guns. You can always get a cold one in Tindal. Since then we have toured such exotic places as Mandora, Dundee Beach, Litchfield and Humpty Doo and a cold one was enjoyed in each. As for playing football its only two halves from a cold one.

SINGAPORE NORD (Singapore)

Country: Singapore
City: Singapore
Team Color: Red
Captain: Sacha / Patrick
Players: Swiss +

Once-mighty "Singapore Nord"-- the Swissies won five national college titles between 1953 and 1964 -- took quite a fall. During the 1990s, "Singapore Nord" set a record that might stand forever, losing 80 straight games, a losing streak that nearly doubles the second-longest streak in the league -- "Chicken Kings" 44-game skein. Their worst year might have been 1991 -- they scored only 3 points all season, while giving up an average of 7 goals a game. After the Swissies ended their streak by beating "Long Johns" 3-2, coach Hans-Rudolf Moser said, "When I woke up this morning, I knew it was a special day."
