AIOLI UNITED, name of the team comes from the defunct but previously acclaimed Provence Restaurant in Singapore : AIOLI. To compensate the impact of long years of Wine and Cheese abuse and maybe not to have guilty conscience, we decided to form AIOLI UNITED to join ESPZEN, the Singaporean amateur football league. Most of us are French working in Singapore, but some good friends decided to choose AIOLI to express their football skill. Is it not a revolution in the Football history : Italian and French playing the same football ;-) Key Dates : August 2005 : first game for AIOLI in ESPZEN Division 6, January 2007 : AIOLI is promoted in ESPZEN Division 3, Mai 2008 : New kit for AIOLI : Red and Black stiped jersey. Is it to honor our Italian Friend ? ;-), July 2008 : AIOLI in ESPZEN Division 1 |

The Belgian and Luxembourg Association of Singapore promotes Belgian-Luxembourg and Singaporean exchanges in the field of economy, business, culture, science and academics. We organizes social and recreational events for our members to stimulate these exchanges. Regular activities are organized for adults as well as for children. To name but a few: business luncheons, dinner parties, Soccer, tennis-, squash-, and bowling tournaments. A monthly "Belgian Get-Together" and a yearly Saint Nicholas party for children always prove to be very successful. A monthly BLAS Gazette is distributed to all members. Every weekend we play a friendly soccer match to keep up fitness and play the game we all loved when we were many years younger. Those were the days, for 90 minutes nothing else matters than getting the ball past the opponents keeper. |

The German Allstars Singapore is a team with more than 30 years history of competitive football in Singapore. Founded in the early 70’s the team has evolved from the long hair/sideburns 70’s style to a good looking ensemble of young, hungry football loving rookies and veterans. The vision of the team is “to offer a home far away from home”. The key is to play competitive football in the Singapore Cosmo League and Midweek League. Around 50 players actively participate in the league matches of the two teams on a regular basis. Aside from the football pitch we are having a lot of fun with regular social activities. This year the Hanoi Drink team has decided, for the first time ever, to be part of the 2 back to back tournaments organized in Phuket… which means 2 extra days of football and many extra nights of entertainment!
Some of our old glories will leave the squad with tears in their eyes after the Andaman 7s (masters category) and some of our young guns will join the group with smiles on their faces for the Phuket 7s (open category).
They will probably bring us some more skills and energy on the pitch but will certainly show less composure and experience at the bar! |

Racing FC was formed in Singapore in 2002. We are a Sunday 11 a-side team that has had players from many different countries over the years. The backbone of the side from the very earliest days has been a mixture of British and Singaporean players with an exotic blend of Serbs, Omanis, Mexicans, Colombians, Americans, Koreans, Japanese, Swedes, Germans, French and many other nationalities to add a bit of spice and quality along the way. Racing FC is the only side to have maintained top division status in the ESPZEN Sunday League since its inception, having always managed, sometimes miraculously, to avoid relegation. We are looking forward to meeting up with the other sides in this tournament, under the strict approach of "win, draw or lose, always on the booze." Amen to that. |

Once-mighty "Singapore Nord"-- the Swissies won five national college titles between 1953 and 1964 -- took quite a fall. During the 1990s, "Singapore Nord" set a record that might stand forever, losing 80 straight games, a losing streak that nearly doubles the second-longest streak in the league -- "Chicken Kings" 44-game skein. Their worst year might have been 1991 -- they scored only 3 points all season, while giving up an average of 7 goals a game. After the Swissies ended their streak by beating "Long Johns" 3-2, coach Hans-Rudolf Moser said, "When I woke up this morning, I knew it was a special day." |
