All teams are invited to provide a team picture, logo and team colour, players nationality, with a short resume that will be presented in the Official Tournament Programme and Website.

BAYON WANDERERS FC (Cambodia)

Bayon Wanderers FC, Runner-up of the Plate 2004 Phuket Soccer 7s. The impressive 12th century Angkorian “Bayon” Temple lends its name to this impressive team. The strength of the Angkorian Empire is reflected in the depth of the squad’s character, and the beauty and elegance of the temples is reflected in the grace with which they take to the field. Similarly, the horrific brutality of the ancient Khmer kings is clearly evident in their violent and erratic behaviour on the pitch.

BOMBAY GYMKHANA (India)

Having put in an outstanding performance in the bars & clubs in February 2009, the boys from Bombay Gymkhana now return for their 2nd visit to Phuket with the hope of taking their ‘off the field’ form onto the pitch. Key players (pun intended) to watch out for are 'looking 4 love' Lodha & our slow yet amazingly quick handed keeper Singh. Keep an eye on the next Indian Gary Neville in defence, Bhardwaj. Malik & Siganporia will add the guts & glory in midfield and will also be a sound bet for a red card at some point so please don’t make them angry by tackling them. FOOTY JAPAN INTERNATIONAL FC (Japan)

Last year most of our open team didn't make it over due to Bangkok Airport being closed but nevertheless the 'older' boys who did arrive made it to the Semi-finals despite playing in 2 competitions! This year we are hoping to have some of the younger lads to help out and go 'all the way'. As you can see from our picture, we have some young fit players, unfortunately they are all staying in Tokyo as they don't do enough drinking and debauchery. We're only bringing the die hard 'Party Animals' who'll march to the sound of 'The Machine' and join the Krauts down Bang-la road. 'Party on Garth!

This year the Hanoi Drink team has decided, for the first time ever, to be part of the 2 back to back tournaments organized in Phuket… which means 2 extra days of football and many extra nights of entertainment! Some of our old glories will leave the squad with tears in their eyes after the Andaman 7s (masters category) and some of our young guns will join the group with smiles on their faces for the Phuket 7s (open category). They will probably bring us some more skills and energy on the pitch but will certainly show less composure and experience at the bar!

Latini is a gathering of Legionnaires from all over the world willing to play quality Latin football with the objective to have great fun and get results. Focus outside the pitch has shifted to even more extreme entertainment whilst keeping faith in standard modus operandi - Movida, Clarke Quay, Karaoke bars, Duxton Hill (all nice places to visit during a night in Singapore). Highlight of the season are our overseas trips - Phuket (1st time) Bangkok, maybe Bali orManila in summer...

MALAYSIAN GRASSHOPPERS FC (Malaysia)

The Malaysian Grasshoppers were formed in 1993 predominantly for the German speaking community in Kuala Lumpur at that time. The basis of the team was to play hard and socialize even harder. Over the years the MG's have become international in nature and have also welcomed many local Malaysians to play with them, but the hard-core of the team is still German speaking. It is a lasting tribute to Jurg Ruckmar , Kurt Roelli and Karl-Heinz Heil, the founding fathers of the Grasshoppers, that they created a club able to field English, Argentinean, French,Turks, Greeks, and Germans all on the same pitch without any international incidents, of note! Over the years The MG's have not had too much success on the pitch, but glimpses of excellence have surfaced sporadically from a sea of mediocrity. Nevertheless, win or lose the MG's have Premier league status when it comes to the ‘ third half' with many players shining more in the bar than in the box! The future looks bright for the Malaysian Grasshoppers. The numbers of players continues to increase, the standard of play improves with every Weis beer consumed, and we have a Captain with a mission to take us to the stars, (or is that bars?). Our opposition should be afraid….very afraid!

Olympique de Saigon has been created in 1994 and is mainly composed of French speaking players living and working in Saigon. O.S. is sponsored since its starts by the professional team O.G.C. Nice (Ligue 1, France) whom we wear the black & red colours. Some Olympique players participate regularly to International tournaments within Asia and keeps high "Les BLEUS" spirit around the Region with fellow teams Olympique Gaulois Singapore and Gaulois Bangkok. But this year, l’Olympique comes back to Phuket with a full team from Ho Chi Minh. Our target is to win!

After loosing the final once again, there were no discussions about attending the Phuket tournament also in 2009. Already 124 seconds after our unlucky loss against the Japanese team Tokyo Hibs our preparation phase for this year tournament began and we kept on till now. Attending beerfestivals, carnival parties and winning the prestigious Far East Tournament in Bangkok as well as achieving the promotion to Shanghai´s Premier League were just marginal notes on our way to take revenge. We luckily could keep our team structure together by having alcohol addicts, sex maniacs and wannabe-Ballacks in our team who are all highly motivated taking over the victory on- and offside the pitch. Furthermore we can count on our beloved friends around the world, who will specially join us for the tournament like Steve and Manu. The revenge is ours! Shanghai Krauts.

“Spartans Football Club was established in 2004 by members of the Singapore Cricket Club National Football League team. Spartans FC is a social football team that participates in 11 and 7-a-side tournaments in Singapore and the region. As we have been playing together for over 10 years, and our competitive playing days are numbered, Spartans FC was created to continue the team spirit with regular friendly games and overseas tours for social competition. The Spartans motto is "Diversus Noster Vires" - Strength from Diversity - symbolising our mix of backgrounds and nationailities blended over the years through our common passion, football.”

SINGAPORE WANDERERS FC (Singapore)

Singapore Wanderers are a collection of players from across Singapore's Breitling Cosmo League. Selection criteria is down to ability rather than nationality or team colours. A 'seasoned' three pronged strikeforce containing Dom Mooney, Andrew Hutcheon and baby-faced assassin Henry Turner should ensure goals are scored at the business end. Meanwhile at the other end the effervescent Scott Starr, housewives' favourite Malcolm Abell, Jason-Bourne-body-double Owen Monaghan alongside the shy and retiring Greg Ryan and Scott Anderson should equal plenty of clean sheets. Gallic and Welsh flair in the forms of David Alonso, Mehdi Souaide and Jamie Butler complete the Wanderer's playing options. The Team's Manager, Dom Lane, will be going in to the tournament with high hopes for more silverware.

A team of men as dedicated to the art of drinking as they are to the beautiful game. What started as a group of like-minded drinkers agreeing to play 5-a-side together has developed into a footballing force that quakes the very foundations of the Singaporean football establishment. Twice promoted in three seasons, Futsal Champions and excessively sociable; TGA is establishing a footballing dynasty to be reckoned with. Currently playing in Division 5 of the ESPZEN amateur football league in Singapore.

There has been hundreds of Scandinavians passing through the club over the years, all with a Viking heart and mind. We currently play in MBMG International League consisting of 15 international teams.

Aussie football at its most bizarre, a delicate mix of boundless enthusiasm, dedication to the cause and pointless optimism all wrapped up in a mission to shrug off through post Soi crocodile burry eyes and foggy minds to march boldly onto any pitch. A Perth/Sydney combination to grace any tournament with silky skills a plenty and a passion for victory that invariably results in a second or two of disappointment should we fail before reminding ourselves that any early exit means more drinking time. Our club motto...”She’ll be right mate, as long as there’s a Singha at the bar”. After season upon season of mediocrity we will be in Blue this year as Red clashes with our post-booze complexion and we blame the distress this has caused on our previous failures to land silverware. A dark horse for competition glory perhaps, as long as the competition involves nails, a hammer and a log (and is nowhere near a football pitch). Take us lightly at your peril because every now and then, we forget that there is drinking to be done and managed to send the ball in the general direction it is meant to go.
