Easter Soccer 5s

Dear football lovers.

New tournament taking over from Songkran 5s.
Due to the lack of interest from teams to compete in the Songkran Cup which was held during the traditional Thai New Year, we have decided to move the period to the weekend of the annual Easter Celebrations, at Patong Beach where the popular Phuket Football 5s is held early November.

While Easter is not celebrated as widely in Asia as it is in Europe or the Americas, there are still many unique traditions and celebrations associated with the holiday across the continent. So it could be a long holiday weekend in your country or your company.

These tournaments do not happen without the support of companies. We would like to extend our gratitude to the Patong Resort Hotel (official hotel) and Aussie Bar Patong (welcome party). Thank you also to the business on Soi Patong who contribute, namely Paolo Pizzeria and Karlsson’s Bar & Restaurant (for your food needs), and Coca-Cola Haad Thip (soft-drinks & water). Inaugural Easter 5s, the “Phuket Easter International Soccer 5s Tournament”

Dates : 19-20 April 2025. We are now accepting expression of interest from teams.
Format : 5-a-side (3 synthetic fields 50m x 30m, with 7-a-side goals).
Category : Open & Masters Men O’35s, O’40s, O’45s & O’50s & O’55s, and Open Women.
Location : Patong Football Fields, Phuket Island. (see below)

Remarks:

This Easter 5s is expected to become as populare as the Phuket 5s early November, because the playing venue is in Patong so minimal transport to and from games, many shops nearby. You may be able to dip in the ocean or your hotel pool in between games.
This tournament will suit those clubs that come with many age groups as they are all on the same weekend.
We will need minimum number of teams for tournament to go ahead.

Tournament Playing Venue

Patong Football Arena is the first artificial football field in Patong Beach (Phuket Island). As the venue is located in Patong it will be only a short drive from your accommodation if you are staying in Patong. There are 3 synthetic fields at the venue, changing room, toilets and drinking water stations. Foods and drinks will be available during the tournament.

Remarks:

This is not Futsal – We have 3 synthetic grass fields that are 50m x 30m and will have 7-a-side goals. (photos below)
If we do not get enough teams in a particular category we would look at combining some of the age groups.
